Born in Bagnarola, Italy on November 6, 1935 and passed away May 10, 2020 in Windsor, Ontario. Beloved husband of Nancy (née Paron) for 62 years. Dear father of Michael (Lynda), Christine, and Paul (Holly). Loving nonno to Lyndsay (Clayton), Kelsey, Jake, and Josh. New great-nonno to Shelby. Predeceased by his parents Pietro (1983) and Olivia (1951), sister Marisa (2014), and brother Emilio (2017). Survived by his sister-in-law Marisa. Brother-in-law of David (Denise), Sylvia, and Mary-Lou. Zio to many nieces and nephews. Sergio immigrated to Canada at the age of 17. He was a bricklayer by trade and founded his company, Wincon Construction in 1966. Over the last 50 years Sergio proudly saw his company become a highly respected and successful general contracting company in the Windsor & Essex County area. Sergio was a lifelong member of the Giovanni Caboto Club. He loved his greenhouse, shop, and especially his Sunday morning social gatherings. Special thanks to the staff of the Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus Cardiac Care Unit, especially Dr. Bagherli, Lori O’Brien NP, Deanna, and Ann. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Diabetes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Sergio’s name would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
