Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Tecumseh on August 26, 2019 in his 81st year. Born December 4, 1938 in Pasiano (PN) Italy to Luigi and Regina (née Giust). Immigrated to Canada in the 1950s. In Windsor, Serge excelled at school, graduating from W.O.I.T. in Electrical Engineering Technology. He worked at NRC in Ottawa, Guardian Industries in Detroit, was part owner of Controlled Systems in Windsor, and worked for many years in Tampa, Florida for Jackson Transformer and AMC in Rimouski, Quebec. Serge developed and holds 10 US and Canadian patents for electrical transformers and power supplies. There wasn’t a computer, voltage meter, or capacitor he didn’t love. He was a wine connoisseur, soccer lover, collected world stamps, loved current events, travelled the world, and quietly, above all else, loved his family.

Dear husband of Evelyn (née Barrette), loving and devoted dad to Mark and Wendy, and Nonno to Matthew, Aaron, Rachael and Jacob. Survived by his siblings Sante (Assunta) in Italy, Silvana (Vince Santarossa), and Gino (Bette), and Mark’s mother Beverly. Predeceased by his parents, his brother Danilo, in-laws Otto and Stella Barrette, Edouard Barrette and Juliette Comartin. Survived by Agnes Levesque (the late Luc), Beverly Barrette, Eugene and Madeleine, Marcella Jobin (the late Paul), Marcel Comartin, and Ann Verhoeckx (the late Jan).

Many thanks to all the medical professionals over the years for unwavering care. To our wonderful neighbours who have always been there for us no matter what.
