Passed away on May 10, 2019 at 44 years of age after a courageous battle with cancer in Los Angeles, California with his family by his side. Beloved son of Cynthia and Vernon Boxe. Cherished brother of Ian (Ruth), and Francine Bailey. Dear uncle of Kyla, Jaela and Justin. He will be missed by the love of his life Alicia. Shawn will be deeply missed by his extended family and many dear friends from Jamaica, Seattle, Los Angeles and all over Canada.

Growing up, Shawn had a passion for sports and the arts. After University he relocated to Seattle, Washington during the tech boom and found success as a database manager. After flourishing in the tech world, Shawn wanted to revisit his lifelong passion of writing and relocated to Los Angeles, California and became a successful screen writer.
