Obituary for Shirley Margaret Seguin

Rest now Mom, for you have accomplished what you set out to do.
You created a story where there is no ending.
We were at the top of your priority list and the center of your life.
Because of you, we are a family that are friends. That was your wish.
Predeceased by her husband, Leonard (2011).
She peacefully passed away at home with her children by her side.
Robert, Kenneth, Catherine, Michael (Nicole), Francis (Patricia), Renee (Rupe), Jeanne (Ted), Suzanne (Scott).
She will be forever missed by her twenty-three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her son-in-law Nigel and three grandchildren.
Survived by her sisters Jeanne (Tom), Mary (Bill), and brother Donald; her sister-in-law’s Margaret, Loretta and Aline (Sid).
Sadly missed by her cousins down east; there was never a shortage of stories, teasing and laughter.
Always remembered by her daughter-in-law’s Linda and Rita.

To Father Larry, you are family, and in our family, you are loved. Thank you is not enough.
Thank you Dr. Wassim Saad for the care and compassion you showed our Mother; it brought great comfort to us, knowing you were always there.

To the Hospice of Windsor, especially Dr. Bergeron; and Karen Bray from St. Elizabeth, who cared for our mother in ways we couldn’t, no words can express our gratitude. Because of you, we were able to fulfill our mothers wish to pass away at home surrounded by family.

Thank you to the many staff at Royal Oak Retirement home whom for the last eleven years provided a home to our mother and the comfort to her family knowing she was well cared for. She got a kick out of being called “rebel”.

Cremation has taken place. Catholic service to follow in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children’s Aid Society would be appreciated.
