Obituary for Stan Goldspink

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 15, 2023 at 94 years young. Stan lived his whole life following the Gospel to arrive in Heaven where he is now reunited with his late wife Margaret (2021). Loving father of Mark Goldspink (Audrey) and Karen Camlis-Leroux (Jerry). Cherished Grandpa of David (Sarah), Brooke (Gregory), Melissa (Aaron), Jenn (Dylan) Whitney (Andy), Heath (Stacy), and Quinn (Kate), all of whom loved spending time with him in a very rare and special relationship. Adored Great-Grandpa of A.J., Theo, Arthur, Sawyer, Elliott, Oliver, and Freddie. Loved so dearly by his nieces and nephews and his ever-growing circle of friends. Everyone who crossed Stan’s path grew to love him, his optimism, his strength, and his sense of humour. His legacy will continue to live in all who knew him for the role model he was. Special thanks to Rev. Andreas Thiel for his care and friendship and Stan’s PSWs from A.L.S.O. and nursing care from St. Elizabeth and his neighbours who grew to be friends, especially Joe. Stan had a deep and abiding faith, and was an active member his whole life in the Body of Christ and in particular with his family at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor & Essex County, to honour the love of his life Margaret. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Tuesday, October 17th from 9:30 a.m. until a Funeral Service begins at 10:30 a.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Interment at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Leamington, Ontario.
