Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 28, 2019 at the age of 96.

Beloved wife of Howard for 68 years. Loving mother of Mary and husband Doug Middleton, Trisha and husband John Staudt, George Paddon and Toni Wilkinson. Cherished grandmother of Melissa and husband Kelly, Drew and wife Rhonda, Katie and husband James, Lisa and Laura. Proud great-gramma to Lauren, Emma, April, Zoey, Carsen, Griffin and Bobby. Predeceased by daughter Lou Ann (1960) and grandson Eric (1984). Dear sister to the late Josephine Kastronic, Bernie and Billy Splawnyk. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Stella was a member of the LaSalle Friendship Club and associate member of R.C.L. Br#594. Stella loved to laugh, hear a good story and make special memories with her family and friends. She was an amazing cook, an avid card player, loved to dance and always generous and kind to everyone she met. Her own unique way of saying “I love you” was to surprise you with a little gift or treat and when asked “What’s this for?” she would smile and say “Happy Tuesday”. She will be greatly missed and always carried in our hearts.

Stella’s family would like to send a very special thank you to all the staff at Seasons Royal Oak and Richmond Terrace. Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered. In honour of Stella’s charitable nature, a random act of kindness in her name would be greatly appreciated. If you wish, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

On Monday September 2nd family and friends are requested to meet at Sacred Heart Church, LaSalle for funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. A private family interment will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
