Obituary for Stephan James Stiers

We are utterly devastated to share the news of the sudden passing of our beloved Steve on March 2, 2023 at the age of 33. Steve will be missed immensely by his soulmate Chelsea. Proud and devoted father of Dylan. He will also be missed by his loving parents, Kirk and Renee (nee Fouchey) Stiers, grandparents, Larry and Mary (nee Serran) Stiers and the late Tyrus and the late Millicent (nee Garner) Fouchey, siblings, Brandon Stiers (Rianne) and Lauren Stiers (Evan), brothers-in-law Mark and Jody, nieces and nephews, Mia, Kaden, Kaelix, Carter, Jace, Braelynn, Rose, Audrey, Miya and MacKenzie. He was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Steve was a kind and gentle soul. He would be the first person to step up and help anyone in need. He loved going to the river to fish, spending time with his son, playing with his nieces and nephews, being outside in the garden, listening to music, and caring for animals. We could go on forever about all the things he enjoyed, but what was most important to him was his family and friends.

1989 - 2023 The dash between these dates represents Steve's life. Steve had a heart made of pure gold. He had the most beautiful blue eyes. He was fun, intense and so full of love to give. We believe he made the most of his dash, but we miss him beyond what words can express. Steve is finally at peace.

Donations in memory of Steve may be made in trust to Renee Stiers for Dylan’s Education Fund.

Visitation will be held at Families First Funeral Home in South Windsor on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
