Our deepest condolences to Sue's family. She was a shining light at Odette, offering guidance and support, and at times a shoulder to cry on during difficult times. She was a second mom to us all, and we will never forget her how greatly she impacted our lives during the MBA program. Her radiant and positive attitude was a gift that not many people in this world have and we were so lucky to have known her. We love you Sue!

On behalf of the MBA Class of 2020, we wish to express our sincerest condolences to Sue's family. She was such a vital part of the MBA program - known as the mom of the MBA students. Although many of us hadn't got the chance to get to know her just yet, she left a mark on all of our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

Words fail... But memories come to mind. I worked with Sue in caring for her graduate student recruits. She had a great sense of humor, and on those rare occasions things went amiss, her eyes would convey, with a glint of mischief, what she was thinking while she nevertheless diplomatically handled the situation. She was a fun colleague who exercised patience in breaking in the likes of me, at the time a newly minted academic administrator. The School of Business was clearly not just a job to her - she really fought for her students. While we couldn't always agree on the best way forward, there was a mutual respect and a willingness to serve that helped her cherished programs to flourish: Sue was a large part of creating success for the graduate programs at Odette, and she was a large part of what made the university an interesting and fun place to work.

Sue was the MBA Program Coordinator when I starting my MBA at Windsor in August 1998. She became an instant friend to me and the rest of the MBA students. I kept in touch over the years and am very sad to hear of Sue's passing. I will always remember her for her zest for life and constant support. She helped us so much that at our Graduation in October 1999, I held up a sign during the convocation ceremony that read "Thank you Sue Skrobiak" . You will me missed Sue - David MacNeil

Dear John and Family, I cannot begin to explain how sorry I am for your loss. Sue was always very kind to me and to hundreds of students, faculty and staff members at Odette. Her kindness and generosity were boundless and she was always optimistic and cheerful even when she was not feeling well herself. This world would be a much better place if it had more people like Sue. Please accept my deepest condolences. Sue has left us but I assure you she will never be forgotten.

John and family; I am so sorry for your loss of Sue. She was one of the best. I met her in the late nineties when I was a potential MBA student. From the first day I met her, she was kind, helpful and respectful. Everyone was equally important to her. Sue was a good friend to me and everyone who crossed her path. She was remarkably organized and able to help with any problem I faced, either as a student or faculty member. We had a laugh when, after 17 years, there was a question about the University that she was unable to answer - that had never happened before. Through my first meeting to the last time that I saw her this year, Sue was always cheerful and encouraging. Even through her battle with cancer, she was positive and a role model for how to face life's challenges with grace. I am only one of so, so many people who will truly miss her.

Dear John, Amie and Melissa. Sue and I worked together at the Faculty of Business in the 80's and at Odette after 1991. I will always remember her unending zest for life, her dedication, perseverance through changing times, (and changing hairstyles - we used to laugh about that) and her unending devotion to the students. She was an inspiration to us all - everyday - and anyone who was lucky enough to know her knew first-hand of her kindness and care. Through her devotion, support and unending resolve, she made us all better people. She believed in us even when we didn't believe in ourselves. She will live in my heart forever. May God Bless you and may your wonderful memories bring you comfort and peace.

Dear John, Melissa and Amie: Sue and I met at Odette and, after a couple of false starts, were destined to become friends. I always enjoyed our chats, and was particularly happy to see her just before Halloween and have another of our long gabs, in the aisle at Michael's. We shared a long, tight hug and the memory of that talk and that hug will stay with me always. I wish I were a poet so that I could adequately express my sorrow at Sue's passing. She gave a lot to the world. I will never forget her.

Hi, John: Kay and I are shocked to hear that Sue has left us so soon. After I retired, I did not have much chance to see Sue. But I shall never forget the dedicated work she did in 1995 when ASAC conference was held in Windsor. She worked very hard for two years to make it a successful conference when 350 professors from around the world participated it. Her dedication and drive made my job as conference chair much easier. I am forever be grateful. When I attended ASAC conferences , professors from other universities asked about her. Her smile and enthusiasm will always be remembered. Andy Andiappan

I am so sorry to hear about Sue. I was at the university for 25 years but must say that the 4 years that I was the director of the MBA are my most treasured times. The reason for that was it was during that time I had the opportunity to work closely with Sue. We spent may a time up in the Faculty Lounge working on issues related to our newly developed MBA program. She was always full of new ideas and never shy about sharing them. For those of you that know me you know I am quite unorganized. I constantly thanked Sue for keeping me updated and ready for things that came our way. The way she treated the students of the MBA was also quite remarkable. It was like they were her second family. It is a sad thing that incoming MBA students will never know what they have missed. Her upbeat personality and endless energy was an inspiration. The picture you have chosen above is a perfect depiction of Sue; happy, full of energy, and ready to help. I truly believe the world is a little darker now that she is gone.

Sue was a remarkable individual. She was soft-spoken, caring, generous with her time, and sophisticated. I had the opportunity to become closer to Sue during my time as an Odette MBA student and I was always so appreciative of the dedication she showed to her job and her community at the University of Windsor. During my tenure as a student at Odette, Sue was diagnosed with her first round of cancer. She courageously underwent aggressive treatment with a smile on her face and refused to let her disease define her. She quickly recovered and came back to work as eager and willing to do whatever she could to assist anyone and everyone affiliated with the MBA program. Last April, around the same time as she heard about her cancer returning, I lost my mother to cancer. Sue was a huge source of strength for me during that difficult time. We constantly reminded each other to stay positive, to appreciate the small things in life, and to surround ourselves with family and friends. In a state of shock and sadness, Sue reassured me that I would graduate on time and worked diligently behind the scenes to create a plan that allowed me to finish my MBA credits and graduate. Sue--You have no idea how much that meant to me. The world lost a terrific person yesterday. I speak on behalf of all my colleagues in my cohort, who are all deeply saddened by your passing. Sue-you will be missed. Your legacy will live on within your beautiful family and friends! May your memory be for a blessing.

John and family: As you know Sue over the years through her work and often well beyond the normal requirements helped thousands of students, staff and faculty. On a personal note, she was a major supporter in my own fight with cancer. Her strength through her own examples with John of winning bouts with the terrible disease and her regular positive support and encouragement helped me greatly through battle one. I will forever remember her and be thankful to her for that support.
