Obituary for Susan "Shui Lau" Chan
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Susan Shui Lau Chan, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched on March 5, 2024. She left us while sleeping peacefully at home with her family by her side in her 88th year.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernest (2003). Loving Mother to Frank Chan (the late Katherine 2022), Emma Chan Brannagan and Roger Mortimore (the late Mark 2005), Henry Chan, Tina (Al) Panazzola, Richie (Hollie) Chan, Chris (Tracey) Chan. Cherished Pwa to Aaron Chan, Jesse Chan, Maighan (Randy) Strang, Brett MacNeil (Michelle Pelaccia) and Dante DelGreco. Beloved Bauk Bauk to Frank and Marcel Gelinas, Cruz, Malin and Nolan Strang, Jasmine and Jade McWhorter, Jeremiah, Altyn and Blaike Spears, Layla and Maddox Hines.
She was also the proud owner of the Pomegranate Restaurant since its opening in 1972. Susan’s kindness, compassion, and sense of humour touched everyone in her life and will be greatly missed. Most of all she loved her family and instilled strong morals and values in her children that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Visitation to be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 2-5 and 7-9 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM at Anderson Funeral Home, 895 Ouellette Ave., Downtown Windsor (519-254-3223).
