Obituary for Ted Alexander
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden death of (Theodore) Ted Alexander, on December 22, 2022 at the age of 82 years.
He was the beloved husband of Irene for 58 years and father of his precious daughters Sharon Wasyluk (Mark) and Heather Perissinotti (Jamie).
Ted was so proud that his boys called him Dad. Ted felt so blessed to be Grandpa to Cora Ofner (Erich), Natasha Wasyluk, and Dana and Jena Perissinotti. He was never happier than when surrounded by his family.
He was the brother of Cathy Halliday and brother in law to Lorraine and Jim Drummond and Kathie and Bob Leigh and uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Ted spent most of his working life in finance, loved to travel, play golf and follow the Spitfires. In retirement he enjoyed his volunteer activity with Hospice and the Downtown Mission. Ted was a life long member of Emmanuel United Church and has served on all four levels of the United Church of Canada. He loved his church family and deeply appreciated their support over the years.
Our family would like to express special thanks to Drs. Tom Elsdon, S. Kanjeekal, and Michael Lock (London) for their expertise and care, giving us an extra 5 years with him.
Visitation will take place at Emmanuel United Church, 1728 Lincoln Rd. on December 29, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Emmanuel United Church or the charity of your choice.
