Obituary for Thelma Lindsay

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing (on Sept 9th) of Thelma Lindsay (nee Wenner), born July 13, 1928 in Windsor. Cherished wife of Gordon Lindsay. For 62 years she has been his rock and the love of his life. Together they raised five children, Linda (Martin), Sharron, Carol (Rick), Gord (Virginia) and Brian (Kimmie), who all will miss her greatly. Thelma has been a wonderful grandma to Dustin, Sarah (Shawn), Daniel, Emily, Spencer and Curtis, a special GG to Kole, and a loving sister to Don (Trudie). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

The family thanks Thelma's numerous close friends, most especially those from the Community of Christ, who have freely given their love and support during her recent illness. You know who you are. Thelma was a warm, caring person, generous with her time and talents. She was determined to leave this world a better place, and with her smile that lit up a room, her life was a testament to goodness. If you so desire, donations to the Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Saturday September 15, 2012 family and friends are invited to Community of Christ (5050 Howard Ave.) after 10:30am for a Memorial Visitation followed by a Memorial Service and celebration of Thelma's life at 11:00am.
