Vesna, as she was known to family and friends, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2022 at 85 years of age. Devoted wife of the late Jovan for 57 years. Daughter of the late Radomir and Mileva Mamutovic of Novi Sad, Serbia. Loving mother of Nebojsa and of Dr Ljubomir (Lou) Vukosavljevic and his spouse Yigit of The Hague Netherlands, sister of Milan Mamutovic of Novi Sad, Serbia, sister-in-law to his wife Mara, aunt to their sons Dusko and Sinisa and their families, aunt to Ben Palmer and his family, Trsa Stanojevic and her husband Dr Petar Stanojevic of Belgrade and their family. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, the U.S., Serbia and Turkey.

Vesna was one of Europe’s young master hairdressers in the late 1950s, a former hairstyling competition winner in her native Yugoslavia and for a number of years the proprietor of Vesna’s Hair Salon and partner at Kay’s Hair Flair in Windsor. She had been an active member of the Serbian Heritage Women’s Heritage Club in her younger years.

The family wishes to express their special gratitude to the staff of The Village of St. Clair, in particular to the Oldcastle neighbourhood staff for your care, compassion and humanity during Vesna’s last year of life.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Windsor-Essex Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
