Obituary for Violet Bradley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Violet Mae Bradley (nee Gardner) on August 21, 2020 London Ontario. Born in Toronto, Ontario in 1926, Violet was raised in North Toronto (Eglinton and Mount Pleasant) which she truly enjoyed and spoke fondly of the many good memories from that time in her life. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Ronald Bradley.

Married in 1951, they lived in Toronto, Sudbury and Windsor where they raised their young family. Violet is survived by her 3 children, Bruce, Robert (Sherry), Adele (John), granddaughter Christina and grandsons Robert (Sarah) and Johnnie (Kailee). Sister Edna Rigby, brother Robert Gardner and nieces and nephews in Canada and the UK. Predeceased by brothers in law Leo Bradley, Robert Bradley, Ken Montgomery and sisters- in law Marguerite Bradley, Ann Montgomery and Marlene Gardner.

Violet worked in the office of the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) and Brewers Warehouse SW Ontario HQ for many years. She was a very gracious, kind and loving person, with a good sense of humour and enjoyed a talent for fine tailoring and dress making as well as unlimited sewing skills. We are so very fortunate to have had such a caring and gentle person as a mother and role model in our lives. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. As per Mom’s wishes, a private family only service was held. Cremation and burial have taken place.

If you so desire, donations to Salvation Army of Windsor or the Windsor Essex County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
