Obituary for Wayne Racine

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after a courageous battle on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 74 years of age. Son to the late Noel and Madeline Racine. Beloved husband of Maria (Malfara) for 50 years. Loving father of Kris (Kathryn) and Kerri Nowosad (Stewart). Proud Pip of Coleton, Quinnton, Brooklyn and Alyse. Dear brother of Gerry Racine (Cathy) and the late Kenneth Racine (Cindy). Beloved son-in-law to Vincenza Malfara (late Dominic), dear brother in-law to Catherine Scodeller (Orfeo), Vito Malfara (Rose), Josephine Klymko (Eugene), Anna Anthony (late Donald) and Adrian and Dominic Malfara (Beth). He will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends especially Rolly Seguin, Roger Sorrell and the late Lou Jordan. Wayne was a retired teacher and Vice-Principal with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board after 32 years of service. He was very passionate about his career and family, was a mentor and role model and friend to those whom he worked with during his career. Wayne coached several school sport teams, volunteered his time coaching hockey for the LaSalle Minor Hockey Association and baseball for the LaSalle Turtle Club. In his free time, Wayne enjoyed hanging out with his family, watching his grand-children at their various sporting events and of course cheering on his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.
