Dear Anne, Mary, Joan and Greg (precious), I am very sorry to hear about your Mom. Such a lovely, kind and generous friend that I had the privilege of growing up next door to on Kerby. Your Mom & I shared a birthday and our love of hockey. The last time my family was home from Sweden she gave my boys her Detroit Red Wings flag. Your mom was such a good friend of my mom & dad's and I have very fond memories of our families together. One of the best memories was the Christmas Day your oven broke down and the whole Waters family ended up at our place for Christmas dinner.

Love and hugs to you all at this difficult time,
Patti Freeman Strömer & family

We are deeply saddened to say goodbye to our dear friend, Yolande, but relieved to know that she is no longer suffering and is now being held in the comforting embrace of Our Lord. Yolande was a wonderful friend, especially to our own mother, Alma, and she was lovingly cared for by our sister, Maria, in her time of need. We all have wonderful memories that we will forever cherish. Yo was generous and caring and smart and overflowing with love for her family and friends, and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored. She was a fashion plate for Anne’s on the Avenue, a staunch supporter of the Windsor Spitfires and professional hockey, a gardener extraordinaire, and a baker beyond compare. We all loved her creamy and delicious cakes! Yolande was also a woman of deep faith and exemplary character. She will be missed and forever loved by all of us. Our deepest sympathies to the entire Waters family.

Dear Anne.Mary,Joan,Greg& Family. Our Thoughts& Prayers are with you during this time. Yolande was a true Matriarch & mother to so many of us that had the pleasure of working alongside of her at Anne’s on the Avenue. I was one of the privileged ladies to have had the honour to work many years with such a caring, sincere Gem. May Yolande Rest in Peace 🙏🏽❤️
