Obituary for Zenaida Bumanlag Renon
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Zenaida (Zeny) on July 5th, 2022 at the age of 77. Cherished and devoted wife of 52 years to José. Loving mother of Jennifer Marrocco (Chris) and Jeff Renon. Adored Lola of Melise, Mia, Matteo, Massimo, Jacob and Andrew. Predeceased by her parents José and Aurora Bumanlag. Dear sister to Flinda (Adonis) Sales, Monchito (Anita) Bumanlag, Joselito (Ramona) Bumanlag. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, family and friends. She will be especially missed by her lifelong best friend, Mercedes Gutierrez and her family Gerard, Julia and Nico.
Zeny was a legendary lab technician at Hotel Dieu, now named WRH Ouellette campus. She retired after 30 years of hard work on the midnight shift. She impacted so many people in her life. She sponsored many family members to come from the Philippines to live in Canada. She was always giving of herself. She loved to garden, dance, shop, spoil her grandchildren, entertain, and no one ever went hungry when Zeny was around. She made friends everywhere she went, especially at the Legion 594.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare for their kindness and care. If you so desire, donations may be made to HDGH (Palliative Care Unit).
Visiting Friday 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Saturday 9:30am from Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 4401 Mt. Royal Dr, for funeral Mass at 11am.
