Ada Chauvin

October 31, 1929 - February 25, 2012

It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a beloved wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother at the age of 82 years.

Ada's primary occupation in life was that of wife, mother and caregiver. She also worked at a number of careers along her life journey. These included pin setter, factory worker and toy department assistant manager at Metropolitan and Steinberg Miracle Mart. Ada loved bowling, traveling and gardening in her yard. In her later years, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always her pride and she spent as much time as possible enjoying their company. She is now reunited with her husband Maurice and daughter Irene. Cherished mother of Denise (Ann), David (Savi). Cherished grandmother of Desiree (Kris), Aaron (Rob), Brandon, Dayna, Jesse and Nathaniel. Beloved great-grandmother of Ruby, Torq and Tao. She will be greatly missed by her devoted canine companion Casey. Reunited with her parents Albert and Christine Tremblay (nee Girard). Pre-deceased by all her siblings Beatrice, Ruby, Albert, Junior and Ivan. Will be missed by sisters-in-law Isabelle Skaleski, Madeline LaChapelle and brother in law Gerard Chauvin. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the nurses of ICU and 5th floor of WRH-Met for their exceptional care and attention to Ada while she was in their care. If you so desire a donation to the Humane Society of Windsor Essex County would be appreciated. Cremation services were held. On Wednesday, family and friends are invited to Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave.) for a graveside service at 11 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
