Born May 1, 1922. Passed away peacefully in the presence of family on May 3, 2012 at 90 years of age. Beloved husband of Jeanette (nee Francis). Cherished father of Michael and wife Jeannine, Marianne and husband David Deschamps, Renee and husband John Malette (2002), Lori and husband Joe Harding, Christine and husband Louis Brisson, Cathy and husband Dan Ceccacci. Dearest brother of Eleanor Zade (Ralph, 1978), Delores and husband Joe Fikany. Predeceased by Fred (Louise), Pearl, Florence Semany (Joe). Dear brother-in-law of Lila and husband Charles Abud. Predeceased by Adele Ammar (Louis), Clara Joseph (Joe), Ida Joseph (Tom), John Francis (Clemance). Devoted grandfather of Christopher, Matthew, Julie, Sarah, Natalie, Sean, Anthony, Jacqueline, Rachelle, John Paul, Gabrielle, Rebecca, Matthew, Joseph, Claire, Alessandra, Renata, Gianluca and Sofia. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. From an early age, Albert was a successful business entrepreneur. He was a wise, unselfish man who always put the needs of family before his own. He taught his family the values of hard work, respect and integrity. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Dr. Dale Ziter and the treating physicians and staff of Hotel Dieu Hospital, C.C.A.C. and all his personal care workers who helped to improve his quality of life over these past two years. If you so desire, donations to Hotel Dieu Hospital or Albert Shalhoub Memorial Fund (Windsor Program) Schulich School of Medicine would be appreciated by the family. Visitation Sunday 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Monday 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Family and friends are invited to meet Tuesday after 9:30 a.m. for Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Church, 1947 Meldrum. Private interment to follow.
