Alexanderia Teresa Mayne

Peacefully, in the care and comfort of her family on Jan. 25. Teresa was the devoted mother of Eric, adoring mother-in-law to Donna and loving grandmother to Corey, Teresa, Darin and Kelsi. She is also survived by brother, Archbishop James MacDonald C.S.C.; sisters Joan Beaton and Marie Renaud; brother-in-law Richard Renaud and dozens of nieces and nephews, all of whom enjoyed her deep love and support. Teresa was predeceased by mother Mary Belle (1990) and father Alexander (Alec the Piper) MacDonald (1966); brothers Kitchener, Donald, Bernard, Donald, Chris and Churchill; and sisters Anne Burzynski and Patricia Smith. She cherished their memories. A longtime member of St. Anne's parish (Walkerville), Teresa was a voracious reader, lover of Celtic music and an avid Blue Jays fan. A truly gentle spirit, the world is a better place because of her. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, Jan. 28, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Prayers Monday 7:30 p.m. at Families First Funeral Home, 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor 519-969-5841. On Tuesday family and friends will meet at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 834 Raymo Rd. after at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Resurrection at 11 a.m. If you so desire, donations can be made to an organization dear to Teresa's heart: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Windsor Essex.
