Amelia Poremba

Peacefully in the presence of her family, on December 9, 2012 at 80 years of age. Cherished wife of Stephen Poremba for 60 years. Loving mother of Richard Poremba and wife Pat and Anne Marie and husband Barry Martyniuk. Treasured Buscia of Daniel, Andrew, David, Curtis, Krystyna and Jakub. Dear sister-in-law of Joan and husband John Holden, the late Cecilia Just and the late Leonard Poremba and wife Elsie. Amelia was an active member of the Windsor Weaver's Guild. Over the years, Millie was a leader with the Boy Scouts while living in Belleville and a leader with the Girl Guides when she moved to Riverside. A special thank you to the 4th floor medical and 2nd floor North staff at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital and Erin at Extendicare for their compassion and professional care of Millie. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers at Thursday 4:30 pm at FAMILIES FIRST 1065 LAUZON RD. East Windsor (519-969-5841). On Friday, friends and family are invited to gather after 10:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church, 385 Dieppe Street at Cedarview, until time of the Words of Remembrance at 10:30 am to be followed by Mass. Cremation to follow.
