Ann Rezler

REZLER, Ann (nee Picha)

Died October 21, 2003 in Windsor, Ontario after a brave battle with cancer. She was born October 2, 1938 to Joseph and Margaret and was the youngest of 3 children. She was predeceased by her parents, brother William Kovach, sister and brother-in-law Mary and John Ubrin, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Stan and Fran Rezler.

Ann married Joseph, her high school sweetheart. According to the pair, it was love at first sight and each quickly knew they had found their soul mate in the other. On October 12 they celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. Together they had two daughters, Lori (Multari) and Lisa (Rezler May). She is also survived by her sons-in-law Joseph and Ian; grandchildren Marissa, Catherine, and Ciara (Multari); step-mother Mary Picha; many nephews and nieces, as well as her loyal Yorkshire terrier Maggie Mae.

Ann always had a ready smile, a song in her voice, and unlimited room in her heart. All who knew her will forever remember her positive spirit, unwavering faith, and her undying love for her family. Although she was a source of inspiration and admiration for many, she found strength in her friends. Ann was always extremely grateful for the unending support and prayers of her close friends who did not let her fight her disease alone. She treasured their shared moments.

According to Ann's wishes, cremation and a private service have taken place. Rev. John Costello will be officiating at a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Hospice of Windsor, 6038 Empress Street, Windsor, ON N8T 1B5 or, the Palliative Care Unit, Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus, 1995 Lens Avenue, Windsor, ON N8W 1L9. Our family chain is broken, nothing seems the same.

When God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

So we'll be brave dear Ann, and pray to God each day.

And when He calls us home to you, your smile will guide the way.
