Anna Abaldo (nee Santoro)

Born in Vicalvi, Frosinone, Italy. Passed away just short of her 88th Birthday. Reunited with her beloved husband Antonio (2001). Loving mother to Joseph (Luciana), Enza Heeney (Barry). Nonna to Robert Heeney (Celia), David Heeney, Mark Heeney, Michael Abaldo and Julie Maurizio (Jeremy). Bisnonna to Emma, Alexander and Sophia. Survived by sister Teresa Recchia and sister-in-law Ines Santoro. Predeceased by siblings Michele, Angelo, Mario, Frank, Fiorina Sorge. Anna was loved by many nieces and nephews in Canada, USA, Italy and France. She was adored by her grandsons Robert, David and Mark, her son-in-law Barry and her daughter Enza who were all by her side every possible moment through her difficult battle with cancer.

Her sense of humour was contagious and her love of life and family will never be forgotten. She had a passion for cooking and working in her garden. She had a lasting effect on all who she encountered throughout her life.

Thank you to the staff of 3 South (Complex Care) of the Dr. Y. Emara Building HDGH. Special thanks to Manager Michael Dame, Maria McNeil NP, Dr. Ray, Blair and Physio staff, and all of the nurses of their often unheralded profession for the amazing care of Anna.

If you so desire, donations may be made to T2B (Transition to Betterness) for continuation of their wonderful work.
