Anne Sharkey

Anna Sharkey (nee Morgan), who was the daughter of the late Dr. Philip J.G. and Marion Morgan (nee Robillard), passed away peacefully, on January 28, 2013 in her 90th year. Anna was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. She married Raymond Joseph Sharkey in 1947. They started their family at their Pleasant place home where they built many lasting memories. Anna moved to the Durham region in 2008. She was predeceased by her husband of more than 40 years, Raymond (1992) and her brother, Flt. Sgt. William Morgan (1945) and her sister Eileen Delicate (2010). Loving mother of Shayne (Ennio Sivilotti), Sharman (Chris Bondy), Shirlee (Pepi Persolja), and Shawn Sharkey. She is survived by a sister, Maryon MacRae, brothers: Bruno, Philip, Jack (Cinci), and Robert. Dear grandmother of Melissa (Domenic Griffo), Mitchel, Marcia (Daniel Watson) Sivilotti, Jennifer, Jessica (Evan MacDonald) Bondy, Avi and Rebecca Paul. Loving great grandmother to Hunter Watson.

Anna, throughout her life, in her actions and words revealed her deep love for her family: her husband, her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She also maintained a close and caring relationship with her parents and her siblings and their families.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Orchard Villa Retirement Residence for the dedicated care they provided to their mother. They also wish to thank the staff in the ER and on 2 West at Rouge Valley Health System in Ajax/Pickering for the exemplary care they gave to their mother in the last days of her life.
