Peacefully, on August 27, 2011, at the age of 84. Predeceased by her husband Maurice (2001), with whom she celebrated 49 years of marriage. Survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Rose Lappan, Geraldine Rock, Don and Denise Lappan, Lucy Lappan, Bill and Lil Lappan, Blanche and Mike McDonnell, Rita and Bernie Kurek and Noella Hayes. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Helen and Paul Dufault, Alvin and Millie Lappan, Norman and Cora Lappan, Peter and Paul Lappan, Eleanore and Charles Desjardins, Clifford Lappan, Doris and Omer Jacques, Jack Hayes, Germaine and Wilfred Miller and Del Rock. Barbara will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Barbara was a former employee of the VON, she retired in 1992 after many years of service for the Windsor Essex County Health Unit, where she was employed as a Public Health Nurse. Special thanks to Don and Denise Lappan, Bob and Olive Hebert and Marj Oxley, for their love and care.
