At Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital on March 20, 2012 at 81 years of age. With great sadness I inform our family and friends the passing of my wife, my love and best friend. We loved, we shared, we lived as one for 62 years. Part of me will always be with Barbara. God has called her to his name and we pray for her peace. We will miss her, her ready smile, her devotion to her family, her loving and generous ways and her gentle giving heart to all. Beloved wife of Joseph. Loving mother to Janet Lynn and John Martin. Dear mother-in-law to Susan Wissent. Devoted and loving grandmother to her "Boys" Brian Wissent, Kurt Wissent and his wife Bobbie-Jo and Craig Wissent and Ashley Strauss. Proud great-grandmother to Lukas Joseph Wissent. Daughter of the late Katherine and Nicholas LaFleur and sister to the late Joseph and Nicholas LaFleur. Sister-in-law to Katherine Hutz, the late Mary LaFleur and the late Katheryn LaFleur. Aunt, grand-aunt and great grand-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Barbara was an active member of Christ the King Church, the CWL and served in the funeral luncheon ministry. Also, she was a long time member of the Kay-Cee Ladies Auxillary #4386. She will be remembered for her many craftworks and especially as a volunteer worker (Knitted Sets) for her Wee-Ones at the neonatal units at Hotel Dieu Grace and Windsor Regional Hospitals. Barbara's relaxing moments were spent on reading and playing cards. If you so desire, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
