Passed away peacefully on April 26, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by husband Joseph "Jake" (2006). Loving mother of Joseph (Carol), William (Susan), Michael, Bernard (Louise), Joyce Putt (Tom), and Dennis (Elke). Proud grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 3. Survived by brother Jan van den Berg (Holland). Alice will be sadly missed by her long time friends Sylvia and Elsie. The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to Pat Cvornyek and to neighbors Len and Carolyn for their kindness shown to Alice over the years, family physician Dr. D. Robinson, special home care nurse Marilyn, support worker Nellie, and all the staff of Bayshore Home Health. A special thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Malden Park for their patience, compassion and exceptional care provided to Alice and her family during her final days.
