Holding hands with his beloved wife of 64 years, and surrounded by his five treasured girls. Cherished husband of Rita (Bondy). Proud father of Anita McKay (Bill), Janice Slack (Ronald), Elaine Peacock (Dave), Denise (Jim Frazer), and Michelle Ruthmann (Sean Burkinshaw). Loving Pépé of Leslie (Joe) and Michael (Sarah) McKay; Ian, Brian & Valerie (Jordan) Slack; Adam & Alek (Desiray) Peacock; Sebastian Ruthmann. Beloved son of Joseph (1957) and Mabel (1971) Reaume. Dear brother of Nelson (Josie), Allen (Frances), Gerald (Maria). Loved and missed by extended family . Bernard served in the R.C.A.F. during WWII and was a prisoner of war from 1944-45. He was a proud Canadian. He was a member of R.C.L. #143, the K of C Council 4386, R.C.A.F POW Association, Windsor Lawn Bowling Club, and K of C and Corpus Christi card clubs. Bernard retired from Norfolk & Western Railroad in 1982. He will be remembered for his fun-loving, feisty and kind personality. Words cannot express the depth of our gratitude to the exceptional staff at Huron Lodge. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Monday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Veteran's Memorial Service under the auspices of Windsor Veteran's Memorial Service Committee Monday at 4 p.m. with combined parish and K of C prayers at 7:30 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 On Tuesday, family and friends are invited to meet at Corpus Christi Church (1400 Cabana Rd. W.) after 9:15 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
