Peacefully on June 21, 2012 at 83 years of age surrounded by her loving family. Cherished mother of Sandy and husband Paul Carter and John Papazian and wife Judie. Treasured nana of Nathan (Joy) and Anthony (Jodi) Carter and Jennifer and Kyle Smith. Adored great-nana of Natalina, Maya, Marcus and Isaiah Carter. Special nana of Samantha and Danny Parici, Sandino and Savanna Acchione, Ryan and Katie Giroux. Dear sister of eight. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Betty graduated from nursing in 1962 and just recently celebrated her 50th anniversary. She worked at IODE (Windsor Western) for 10 years. She loved to dance and roller skate and was a Jitterbug champion. She was also a founding member of the South Windsor Lioness Club. If you so desire, donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Brentwood would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Monday 2-5pm and 7-9pm.
