Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on August 30, 2012 at 88 years of age. Reuniting with the love of her life George Balkwill and her daughter Estelle Gauthier. Cherished mother of Marie-Claire Coupal (Nereo), Paul (Dolores) Last, Carl Last, Diane (Gary) Smith, Raymond (Melinda) Last and the late Victor (Denise) Last and the late Henri Last. Beloved sister of Roland (Pauline) Proulx, Denise (the late Gérard) Demers, the late Yolande and Bert Last, the late René (Marcella) Proulx. She will be sadly missed by the Balkwill family whom she loved very much. Mémére Blanche leaves many grand-children, great grand-children, nieces and nephews. She was a French school teacher and principal in Timmins, Ontario. Special thank you to the staff at Village of Aspen Lake and the staff at Met Hospital for the great care and love she received.
