After a courageous battle with cancer, Bruce, passed away at age 60 with his family by his side. Son of the late Mariette (Beaupre) 2006 and his father Frank Summerfield 1983. Kind and loving father of Tracy, Kimberly and husband Luc Serre and son James. Loving grandpa to Emily Serre. Dearest friend and common-law spouse of Sue Calleja (Lemay). Bruce is survived by his sister Suzanne and her husband, Bruce Belanger, his brother Ted and his wife Mary, his brother Neil and his wife Kathy. Bruce will be sadly missed by many family, cousins, and friends including the Lemay family and ma (Bernice Donaldson), Maria Pillar and his nurse Eden. Bruce loved spending time with family and friends. That was his first love. He was an accomplished Black Belt in Judo since age 15. He was a member of the Canadian Belt Association and United States Armed Forces Black Belt Association. He enjoyed all 37.5 years at Ford Motor Company and made a good living for his family from age 18 to 55 when he retired. His favorite hobby was training Golden Retrievers and taking them to dog shows. He will be remembered for his calm disposition, great sense of humor and ability to get everyone laughing no matter what the occasion and no matter how ill he was. He will be missed. His family wishes to thank everyone for their outstanding support, care and compassion. Honoring Bruce's request cremation will take place and he will be honored in a private memorial ceremony at a later date.
