Born in Amherstburg on October 28, 1931. Passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, on March 5, 2011 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 60 years to Trudy (nee Ouellette). Cherished father of Darlene & Mike Belanger, Karen & Joseph Csaszar, Chuck & Dianne Oestreich, and Margaret & Rick Thurlby. Adored papa of Michael, Scott, Jessica, Joey, Jacquee, Bethany, Charles, Brittani, and Kara; and his great-grandchildren Brayden, Mikayla, Hayden, Oliver and Kalina. Predeceased by his parents Charles & Emma Oestreich and his sister Norma. Loving brother of Ruth & Frank Storrey, Joanne & the late Terry Walsh, and Walter & Gail Oestreich. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Chuck, known as "Whitey" by his co-workers, worked as a truck driver with Smith/CP Transport and retired after 46 years of service. He was a longtime member of the Windsor Sportsmens Club and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters. If you so desire, donations to the Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family.
