Died peacefully, on March 14, 2012 with his loving family by his side in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Georgina ( nee Vitek). Loving father of Judy (Fojtik) Saby (Keith), Rick Fojtik, Patti (Fojtik) Rodgers (Steve Gignac), Betty Jean Fojtik-Bumbacco (Jamie), Mike Fojtik (Pam), and Pamela Robson (Paul). Will be missed by grandchildren Ryan, Kendal, Danny(Sonja), Katie, Bruno, Joseph, Spencer, William, Trenton, Harrison and Desiree. Son of the late Ernest and Lucille (Laferty). Brother to Rose Rankin, Fred (Marion), and the late Frank, Albert and Cecile. Charles' working years were spent with Canada Steamship Lines and Essex Terminal Railway. Charles was a veteran of WW II, was an Honorary Life member of Bishop J. T. Kidd Council 1453, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255, Windsor Transportation Club, Club 55 and Roseland Curling Club. He was a dedicated blood donor and Goodfellow volunteer. He loved a great game of poker with his buddies, golf and curling. His early passions were skiing and sailing. Special thank you to all the staff and nursing care at the Village of Aspen Lake, especially Riverside Neighbourhood, for all their love, kindness and support. They are truly a caring and kind group of caregivers. As your expression of sympathy a donation to the Goodfellows would be appreciated. Visiting Sunday 3 -5, 7-9 pm. A service under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran Memorial Services Committee Sunday at 7 pm and Parish prayers at 7:30 pm at Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd. East Windsor 519-969-5841. Visiting resumes Monday after 10 am at St. John Vianney Church, 385 Dieppe St., until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.
