Passed away peacefully on August 27th, surrounded by her immediate family; daughters Jenni-Leigh Girard, Stephanie Girard-McPhedran and husband Ryan McPhedran, grandson Sean Hebert and Mike and Tina Girard. Debbie is also survived by her sisters; Lynne Ginter (nee Desjardins), Laurie Durham (nee Desjardins) and brother Jerry Desjardins. Debbie is predeceased by her parents Clifford and Doreen Desjardins and brother Don Desjardins. On Debbie’s behalf, her immediate family would like to give special thanks to her friends and caregivers at Devonshire Retirement Home, especially Sister Corrine , Vera and Sandy. The family would also like to give special thanks to the wonderful team of volunteers, nurses, doctors and staff at Hospice of Windsor. The staff at Hospice are angels, the care and compassion is unbelievable, we urge everyone to support HOSPICE. Finally, in Debbie’s last hours she asked that special thanks also go to her Uncle Bob,her late Aunt Fille Myers and Jodi from Gesto – she called them her second family.Debbie also asked that we thank Vickie and Dwight Barron, Mimi McPhedran and Michelle Morand for the amazing support and love in her final days. In honour of Debbie, donations to Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family. Visiting will be held Friday, August 30th, 2019 from 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:30p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
