Passed away peacefully on Friday March 15, 2013. Predeceased by his mother Ida Mae Blais (1968) and his father Lawrence "Roddy" Blais (1986), brother Donald (1996) and sister Verna (2012). Beloved husband of the late Irene (2009) for 58 years. Father of Debra & Wayne Brown of Timmins, Barry & Monique of Sudbury, Rodney & Christine Fawcett of Sudbury, Kimberley & Gary Baptie of Windsor. Doug will be sadly missed by his 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild as well as sisters Joan of Oshawa, Joyce, Jackie of Sudbury and brother Kenny and his late wife Joyce of Windsor. Dear brother-in-law of Pat Blais. Dear friend of Alex & Anjali George and Desi Broad. Many thanks to the nursing staff at Leamington Court for taking such good care of him while he resided there. Doug was a member of the RCL #143, The Windsor Sportsman Club and the Windsor Action Club. He worked at Chrysler and was a long time sheet-metal worker.
