Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on May 14, 2012 at the age of 78 years. Loving husband to Florence (nee Taylor), with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage. Cherished father to Ken (the late Laura), Doug, Ron, Debbie and Dennis and wife Tammy Lenz. Precious Pappa to Michelle, David, Chris, Michael, Jordan and Amanda. Bert will be missed by his daughters in law Ev Marsh and Lynn Lenz. Dear son to the late Edmond and Lena Lenz. Bert will be missed by his many in-laws and friends. Bert was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 5642 River Canard. If you so desire, memorial donations to the Windsor & Essex Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday 2-5, 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Thursday 4 p.m. Knights of Columbus prayers under the auspices of the Knights of Columbus #5642 River Canard Thursday 7:30 p.m. at Families First 2130 Front Road LaSalle, 519-969-5841. On Friday, family and friends are invited to meet at Sacred Heart Church LaSalle after 10 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
