Born on August 13, 1928 in Sydney, Cape Breton N.S. Passed away peacefully on November 1, 2012 at Malden Park at the age of 84, with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Lena "May" for 57 years. Loving father of Irene (David Walker), Laura and husband Brook Brignall and Ernest Jr. Cherished Grandpa of Jonathan and Amber. Eldest brother of Gord and wife Mary, Barbara Carroll and husband Keith, James and predeceased by brothers Victor and Norman. Brother-in-law of Ernest Ferguson, Donald Mollon, Emily Dunn, and Dorothy Dobson. Will be sadly missed by his lifelong friend Eddie (Pidge) Fifield and wife Betty, and many friends at Lincoln Road United Church. Special thanks to Ernie's caregivers Maxine, Paul and Joe, and staff at Malden Park and Hotel Dieu Hospital. Ernie was a lifelong sports fan, especially the Maple Leafs.
