Ettie Vanasse

Peacefully, on February 14, 2013 with her family by her side at the age of 63. Predeceased by her beloved husband for 33 years, Jan Miner (2011). Dearest daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (nee Mallet). Dear sister to Vi and her husband Vic Lofthouse, Ed Hachey and his wife Darlene, Al Hachey, Melba and her husband Ken Laforest, Ray Hachey and his wife Claudette, Don Hachey and his wife Cathy. Predeceased by her brothers Vee Hachey and Del Hachey. She is also survived by Jan's son Del Miner and his sons Blake and Bryce. Sister-in-law of Roger Miner and his wife Peggy, Darryl Miner, Michelle, Mark Miner and his wife Caroline and the late Del Miner. Daughter-in-law to Rita and the late Delos Miner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff of 4th floor oncology at Metropolitan Hospital, especially Dr. Ken Schneider, Kristin, Paris, Wendy, and Sarah, for your care and compassion. Ettie worked many years at Champion Spark Plug and at Gates and was a member of CAW local 195. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor and Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation in Ettie's name would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Visiting will continue on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at FAMILIES FIRST, East Windsor 1065 Lauzon (519-969-5841).
