Euclid Robillard

Died peacefully at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital formally from Huron Lodge on October 1, 2008 at 87 years of age. Beloved husband and best friend of Janette (nee Lassaline). Son of the late John and Delima (nee Goulet) Robillard. Loving father of Linda & Paul Guilbeault of Belle River, and the late Richard Pistagnesi, Randy & Patti Robillard of Ovido, Florida. Grandfather of Christopher & Melissa Pistagnesi, Jonathan Pistagnesi and friend Dawn. Great grandfather of Olivia and Bennett Pistagnesi, step grandfather of John and wife Dawn Westmeyer, Faith and David Nicholls, Michael and Kerri Westmeyer of Florida, Step great grandfather of Alicia, Hannah, Ryan. Predeceased by brothers Edward and wife Annie, Herbert (Red) and wife Vera, Leonard and wife Antoinette, Wilfred, David and wife Mary, Aurele, and sister Aline. Brother-in-law to the late Raymond and wife Alma Lassaline, Sr. Madeleine Lassaline, the late Arthur Chauvin, the late Clifford and Bernadette Lassaline. Survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Penny Robillard, Kathleen Chauvin, Arsene and Pearl Janisse, Carl Lassaline, Bill and Ramona Prest. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his friends for their many visits while in Huron Lodge and most special thanks to Harold and Delores McDougal for their weekly visits. Thanks also to the staff at Huron Lodge and especially Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital CCU and the staff on the 8th floor. Euclid was an avid baseball fan having played minor baseball for Dayus Roofers before joining the Navy in 1941 serving on convoy duty on the North Atlantic. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 38 years of service on Plant Security. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 594 and a life member of the Moose Lodge. If you so desire, donations made to the Downtown Mission or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Visitation will be held Friday 3-5 & 7-9 pm with parish prayers at 4 pm. Veteran's Memorial Service under the auspices of Windsor Veteran's Memorial Service Committee Friday 7:30 pm. On Saturday, family and friends are invited to meet at Corpus Christi Church (1400 Cabana Rd. W.) from 9:30 am followed by mass at 10 am. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
