Peacefully in his sleep on May 11, 2011 in his 87th year with family close by his side. Devoted husband of Sophie. Loving father of Margaret Lott (Jim), Gerri (Gord) Horn, Marlene (George) Dorner, Cheryl Dupuis, John (Donna) Morency, and Lou Ann (Mike) Stumpf. Proud Grandfather of 14 and Great of 18. Caring brother of the late Vivian, the late Donald, Allan (Helen) and Arlene. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Pete served our country in WWII with the Royal Canadian Navy on the H.M.C.S Caraquet and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255. He later retired from Chrysler in 1981. Pete loved the horses at Windsor Raceway where he was a regular on Monday and Thursday nights. His wide sports knowledge and war stories will be missed by all who knew and loved Him. A service under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Services Committee and R. C. Legion Br. 255 will take place on Friday at 4 p.m. Parish prayers Friday at 7:30 pm. The funeral will be held on Saturday at 12:15 pm from the funeral home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
