Suddenly on August 24, 2011 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Annette (Meloche) for 55 years. Loving dad of Kathy Shaban and husband Rick, Michelle Desjardins and husband Tom, Gary and wife Laurie, Danny and wife Leigh. Dear brother of Roderick, Jacqueline Jensen, Andre, Marcella Jacob, Leo, Maxine Dutton, Jerome, Robert, Charles, Jeannette Hamel and predeceased by Roumand, Roger, Paul and Maryanne Courtland. Dearest Pipi of Bryan, Dana, Zachary, Brian, Kaelan, Karly and Tyler. Will be missed by his four-legged buddy Harley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gabriel retired from the Separate School Board after 23 years of service and Burrough's Adding Machines after 20 years of service. In his retirement, Gabby enjoyed weekly card games with Local 1973 Retirees Chapter and The Friendship Club of Lasalle. Gabby will forever be a Montreal Canadians Fan.
