George Keelan

Passed away peacefully on October 1 at the age of 78. Dear son of the late Wilfrid and Lucille Keelan. Beloved husband and sweetie of Donna (nee Nantais) for 57 years. Loving father of Kathleen (Christopher Roy), Karen Keelan, Sandra Lukas, David Keelan (Darlene). Devoted and proud Grandpa of Darren Roy (Tracey), Andrew Roy (Jessica), Erin Lukas, Jessica Lukas. Dear brother of Ellen Bottoset (late Marcel), Mary Clarke (late Gerry), the late Ken Keelan (Mae). Brother in law of Veronica Scarlett (late Harry), Connie (Russ Balkwill), Elaine Russell (late Bob). He is survived by many nieces and nephews. George was a skilled meat cutter, beginning his career with Weirs Market, then Dominion Stores and then retiring from A & P after 21 years of service. He was dedicated and protective of his family. His kind heart often had him helping others in need. He will be missed for his art of fine conversation and his great advice.

In kindness, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Parkinson Society. Visiting Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m. at Families First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre (519-969-5841) 3260 Dougall Ave. Family will receive friends at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum) on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
