January 3, 1929 – May 10, 2012. Died peacefully at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital after a brief struggle with ALS at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend of 52 years Lois (2007). He was the father and friend to his sons Grant (Cari), Brian (Carol) and John. He will be missed by his grandchildren Doug, Beth (Matt), Emma, Scott and Morgan. Son of the late Joseph and Lilias Fairley. Brother of Lilias and Margaret both of whom died in childhood in Scotland. Brother-in-law of the late Joan and George Meuser, Doug Cowan (Ann Sullivan) and Caylee (the late Graham) Bailey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Harry was born in Windsor and attended Walkerville Collegiate. He served as a police officer in Windsor for more than a decade before working in Security at Hiram Walkers until his retirement. He taught us the value of making friends and being friendly to everyone. Of all the places in the world, he was most at home at the cottage on Mary Lake in Muskoka. His faith and hope were in Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord. We are comforted with the knowledge that someday we too will join him and mom and the others who have gone before us into heaven.
