Iris found her peace on July 22, 2011 at 88 years of age. She was best friend to Shirley Adams of LaSalle and loving "mom" to the many furry critters who once shared her companionship. Her interests ranged from teaching ballroom dancing and ceramics to volunteering at Central Animal Hospital and memberships with the Windsor Bird Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a gentle soul who gathered friends wherever she wandered. She will be missed and forever cherished for her creative hands, generous heart, warm smile and quick wit. If you so desire, donations to the Downtown Mission would be appreciated by the family. A private service was held. Interment followed at Rose Hill Cemetery.
