Past-president of the local chapter of Zonta International, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at home. She was 92. Ivy was born April 16, 1920 in Sandwich West, Ont. In 1959, she married George Benneian, and together they had three children: Elizabeth Benneian (Ken Kawall), Joan Bertini (Lisa Pritchett) and Richard Benneian (Lynn). Ivy is also survived by her step-daughter Gloria Joan and her three grandchildren: Robert & Christina Benneian and Tyler Kawall. Predeceased by her parents Charles & Hannah Price and by her brother Robert Price. After the death of her husband in 1976, Ivy took over his business, Benneian Real Estate and Insurance Ltd. She ran the business until her retirement in 2009. Ivy enjoyed knitting, crocheting and travelling. An avid bowler, Ivy was still regularly scoring in the 100s when she stopped at 90 years old. Ivy supported several charities, including PETA and the Christian Children's Fund of Canada. Ivy will be sadly missed by her family and the many people in the community who knew her.
