We announce that Jan's many medical struggles and suffering have ended. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 28 years Ann (nee Barrette) and his caring daughter Anja who was never able to enjoy the gift of a healthy dad since the age of 3. His parents were the late Mae & Allard Verhoeckx. Beloved brother of Ron Verhoeckx and Bryan Verhoeckx (Ivy). Dear brother-in-law of Agnes Levesque (the late Luc), Bev Barrette (the late Edward), Eugene Barrette (Madeleine), Marcella Jobin (the late Paul), Juliette Comartin (Marcel) and Evelyn Casagrande (Serge). He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and good friends. Jan was an automotive technician and loved the challenge of repairing all types of vehicles. From a very young age hockey was his sport as he tended goal in friendly competition until about 20 years ago; his favourite team was "The Leafs". His furry feline buddies have given Jan so much love and comfort during his many periods of convalescence. Jan will continue to live in our hearts. If you so desire donations for his "sweetie" Anja's education in trust of Ann would be appreciated by his family. Visiting Monday 3-5pm & 7-9pm.
