Peacefully on December 22, 2012 at 90 years of age, with her loving husband George of 67 years by her side. Mother of Karen Topping and husband John of Kingston and Thomas Jones and wife Susan of Peterborough. Grandmother of Geoffrey, Alexander and spouse Miranda, and Christopher Topping and Carly, Gregory and Michael Jones. Sister of William and the late Robert Sands. Jean lived for her family and often travelled and fished with George. Special thanks to close friends Kirk and Mary Windibank for their support and companionship to George and Jean for many years. Sincere thanks to the staff of Iler Lodge in Essex who cared for Jean over the last four years and the staff of the 8th Floor North of the W.R.H. Metropolitan Campus who tenderly cared for her in her last days. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Windsor and Essex County would be appreciated by the family.
