As the angels descended to guide her home, we announce the passing of a truly beautiful soul who touched all of our lives in a powerful way. Beloved wife of Ed Mailloux, Mother of Dana and Al Smith, Kristy and Peter Taylor, Jodie and Shannon Taylor and Paul Mailloux. Precious Gramma of Joseph, Nicole, Ronson, Patrick, Jaren, Zachary, Jadelyn and Shane. Cherished sister of Marlene Schroeder (Jack), Mary Helen Awad (Roger), Charlene Goudreau and sister-in-law Doris Stott. Predeceased by brothers Ted Dunn and Louie Dunn. She will be sadly missed by many brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Dear daughter of the late Alvin and Lottie Dunn. Joan was a caring, compassionate earth angel who touched the lives of many. She will be forever missed. Joan was a source of inspiration to us all during her lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. The family would like to sincerely thank Adriana Cmarada (CCAC) for her love and compassionate care over the last several years. Visiting Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Families First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre (519-969-5841) 3260 Dougall Ave. On Wednesday, family and friends are invited to meet at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 4401 Mount Royal Drive for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
