Joan Rocheleau

Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family, on July 25, 2011 at 72 years of age. Beloved wife of 51½ years to George. Cherished mother of Brian, and Karen (Michael Cresshull). Adored grandma of Brian Peter and Christopher. Loving sister of Jackie Campeau. Dear aunt of Lisa & Randy McDowell. Loving sister-in-law of the late Alex & Mary-Louise Rocheleau, Rev. Paul Rocheleau, the late Hector Rocheleau and his wife Ruth Ann, Edward & Stella Rocheleau, Fred & Dorothy Rocheleau, Yvonne Gignac, and Francis & Judy Rocheleau. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Joan came to the end of her journey as she lived her life with strength, humour and grace. She was very involved in her community and supportive of George's volunteer activities. Joan was a tremendous caregiver to her husband and her family as she touched others with her caring and thoughtful nature. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Hospice of Windsor who, with compassion, enabled Joan to reach a peaceful end. If you so desire, donations to the Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd. East Windsor 519-969-5841. On Saturday, family and friends are invited to meet after 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Church (12233 Tecumseh Rd. E.) until words of remembrance at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass.
