Peacefully after a lengthy illness on April 27, 2012 at 81 years of age. Beloved husband of Janet (nee McCready). Loving father of Tom (Annie), the late Isobel Campbell (Davy), Janis Rae (Ian), Alison Punt, Fiona Mitchell (Bryon Moore). Cherished grandpa of Julie, Sarah, Ian, Adam, Kelly, Karen, Devan and Sam. Treasured great-grandpa of Nolan. Dear brother of Mary MacLachlan (Neil) and the late Sam Mitchell. Dearest uncle to Neil, Craig and many nieces and nephews in Scotland. John will be sadly missed by his many dear friends, especially Jimmy Hillis and Ted Chatwood.
