Passed away peacefully on October 20, 2008, surrounded by loving family, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Renaud) formerly Curtis of LaSalle. Predeceased by Yvette (nee Doyon) (1977). Loving father of Rachelle Deborger, Sally & Tom Beattie, Tim & Sue Nantais, all of LaSalle. Predeceased by Stella (1959) & Mark (1961). Devoted grandfather to Karla & Eric Bondy, Joe & Tina Beattie, Jim Beattie & Shannon, Tom Beattie & Erica, Tim Nantais, Casey Nantais. Great-grandfather to Braydon Beattie, Peyton Beattie & Charlotte Bondy. Predeceased by parents William & Stella. Also survived by stepchildren, Pat & Michelle Curtis, Randy & Kelly Curtis, Rick Curtis, Kevin & Kyla Curtis, Laurie & Scott Allen. Poppa to Chris & James Curtis, Samantha & Jessica Allen, Brody Curtis. Will be missed by brothers & sisters, Bill & June Nantais, Lea & Allan Druer, Anne Norman & the late Bob Norman, Charlene & Gordon Milburn, Doreen Marcotte-Langlois & Paul Langlois, Don & Carol Nantais. Son-in-law of Francis Renaud. Brother-in-law to Joe, Ron & Larry Renaud, Gloria Murdoch, Bernie Renaud, Debbie McDermott, Michael & Brian Renaud. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Joe was a former truck driver and retired from Anchor Lamina. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Ushers Club & Knights of Columbus Council #9500. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday 3-5 & 7-9 pm at Families First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre 3260 Dougall Ave (519-969-5841). On Thursday Parish prayers will be held at 4 pm and K of C Council 9500 prayers will be Thursday at 7 pm. On Friday family and friends will meet at Sacred Heart Church LaSalle after 9:30 am followed by Mass at 10:30 am. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
